Questionnaire analysis
1. What gender are you?
As you you can see from the Pie chart above the majority of the people that i asked to fill out my questionnaire were male. i asked more males as i think this is the group that i would like to target.
2. How old are you?
The graph above shows that most of the people that filled in my questionnaire were between the ages of 15-20. i have asked this majority as this is my age and so i feel it will help me to create a better undersanding.
3. What is your favourite film genre?
The highest group chosen by my audience is horror and so i will have to take this into consideration when planning my product. Action, Comedy, Rom/Com and Thriller also got quite a few votes and so these will also have to be considered in the planning stage however Sci-Fi got no votes and so will not be considered.
4. Have you seen many short films?
Hardly any people that i have asked had watched a lot of short films showing that it is not a common type of media meaning that there are not particular codess and conventions and so i can be more creative in my product.
5.Where do you expect to see a short film?
Most people i asked this question to stated that they had seen them at the cinema befor a feature film however a few had said they have watched them online showing that this is where i would have to place my product for it to be seen.
6. How long would you expect a short film to be?
The majority of people i asked said that they would expect the short film to be between 5-8 minutes. this is good as this is how long i had planned to make my product.
7. What do you think is the most important aspect to a short film?
As you can see from the graph above the people that i have asked have said that all aspects of short films are important however Action and Dialogue appear to be the most popular and so will have to be looked at in more detail.
The pie chart above shows that the majority of people that i asked this questionnaire to said that they would not pay to watch a short film. I think this is due to the fact that most of the time they are shown for free at the moment.
The ninth question i asked was how many characters would you like to see. The largest chosen option was 2-3. I think this is to keep the short film quite simple as the are quite short and so can be easily over complicated. this means that i will have to take this into considiration when planning my film however the other choices were not that far behind and so will also have to be taken into account.
I then asked weather or not people would like any music in the short film. as you can see from the pie chart above most of the people i asked said yes and so the likelyhood is that i will have to include some sort of music in my production.
I then asked what music genre they would like to hear if they answered yes to the question above. the category that scored the highest number of votes wa rock however three others also scored quite jhighly and so will also have to be included when planning my production.
